VET PHYSIO KENT

Charlene Baker BSc (Hons) Veterinary Physiotherapy
FdSc Veterinary Rehabilitation, Cert HE, Dip ICAT, Dip ITEC, MCThA, MFHT

Veterinary Physiotherapy is an established profession and involves the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal, orthopedic and neurological conditions in animals.

I have twenty years of experience as a musculoskeletal therapist working with horses, hounds and humans! With my background initially in sports, remedial and deep tissue therapy along with a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Veterinary Physiotherapist, I strive to both educate, resolve and/or manage acute and chronic conditions. My aim is to bring the owner to the centre of their animals treatment and offer effective treatment plans to reduce recovery time, rehabilitate and support. My practice and therapy is based on years of experience of movement analysis, knowledge of anatomy and the neuro-muscular system to identify and treat problems. My expert knowledge and application of suitable treatments are evidence based, best practice combined with the most recent scientific evidence and research.

My approach is multimodal combining manual therapy, deep tissue work, myofascial release and mobilization techniques to release areas of tension and dysfunction. Premium level electrotherapy modalities such as INDIBA, PEMF, Therapeutic Ultrasound and Laser/Light Therapy are available treatment options to optimize the bodies own heal and repair process, to reduce pain and inflammation and reduce recovery time from injury or pre/post operative care.

Rehabilitation, fitness and maintenance exercise plans support treatment plans to ensure you and your animal maintain a strong and healthy life.

If you are looking for a highly qualified, experienced, positive, enthusiastic and caring Veterinary Physiotherapist please don’t hesitate to reach out to find out how I can help you and your four legged companion reach their potential and remain happy and healthy.
